Dinah’s Hollow C13/A350 Highways Survey

Dorset Council has invited feedback from the community on the temporary 20mph speed limit currently in place on the A350 through Fontmell Magna. This measure forms part of wider traffic management arrangements during the closure of the C13 at Dinah’s Hollow, which has led to increased traffic through the village. The temporary arrangements differ in several respects from a permanent speed limit scheme which would typically include consistent signage and supporting measures as proposed by FMPC in its 20mph application to Dorset Council.

The Parish Council is keen to gather honest and informed views from residents and road users. We recognise that current conditions include a combination of factors - such as higher traffic volumes, temporary signage, and other traffic measures - which may influence people’s experiences.

This short survey therefore asks about your experience of the A350 under current conditions, and your view on appropriate speed limits within the village itself.

Your responses will help ensure that community feedback to Dorset Council is balanced, evidence-based, and reflects real experience.
